There is a lot to write about after this weekend.
Lots of Montanans racing and lots of good results. Throughout the week I'll try to provide recaps and photos for the other events. No TTTT tomorrow. The series will resume in two weeks.
First let's talk about the Speedwagon. MTCX blogger, Phil Grove provided a nice summary of the fireworks. The picture above was taken by Tom Robertson. It summarizes the experience. Beautiful, remote, adventurous......and if you zoom in on the picture you can see the forth component.....pain. The only thing that can prepare you for the Speedwagon is past Speedwagons. I was lucky enough to ride with Mike from the Polson Rounders. He pointed out course features and was an extremely strong companion (hope he races more). We rode on and off with Alex, but Josh and Matt were long gone. In the end I couldn't make it up the final climb. Alex and Mike were too fast. However this race is about Polson, families, and the celebration of Montana Cycling. Wayne and his family opened their house to us. It was amazing. Like Phil said "It's the best race you've never hear of."
