Montana Cyclocross Weekly Update

Cyclocross is heating up.

I just got an email from an old friend. Field Reporter Joe Chalmers is back on board!!! He will be covering the Star Crossed/Rad Racing weekend. Joe is also going to be Curry's pit crew for the elite races. He'll get a first hand look at all the action.

Error in last post: Cross Vegas is this Wednesday, September 23rd.

I also want to give a shout out to the crew headed to Single Speed World's in Durango. I'm expecting big things from Dale, Jensen, Toby, and Pipo. Dale has promised a full report with photos.

I'm excited for the Butte and Helena cyclocross openers. What a great way to kick off the Montana season. I fully recommend doing the prologue at the Cox Lake Omnium. I know it's Saturday, but I thought it was well worth it last year. It was an awesome little race..............and afterwards you get to go out for beers with Scotty Herzig.

The Butte weekend is going to be a good one. What will Warren have cooked up for this brand new course?? It sounds wide and fast, but you never know. I think I'll be posted up at the campground all weekend. Sunday, John C is once again putting on the classic Butte Sports Complex race. Sand box, run-up, grass, bump field. Love it. You get $5 off for registering early. Click here to register.

Good luck to all you Star Crossers! Below is the video from last year. Be ready for everything!

Montana Cyclocross Racers head to the Northwest

Tomorrow the official cyclocross season begins with Cross Vegas. For the latest on Vegas visit Josh Tack's blog (he's over there).

This weekend is Star Crossed and Rad Racing. After two awesome years at Star Crossed I will be sitting this one out. I'm bummed but it just wasn't in the cards this year. I'll start my season off with Psychlo Cross in Butte! I'm pumped.

I'm excited to hear about our Montana Crossers competing on the NW scene. Curry in the main event against the big boys, Fiore and Longmire ripping legs in the masters, new cat 3 Jdoll, Bob P, and not to mention the ladies Slivka and LCurry! Let it begin!

The Montana schedule has some mangy races this year and it starts with Psychlo Cross. You better be there. Lights, camping, cross.......yes please.
